Jes Meyer-Lohkamp studied in Kiel and Freiburg i. Br. and completed his legal clerkship in Hamburg. He has worked exclusively in criminal law since 2000, primarily focusing on the nationwide defense of individuals in extensive white collar and tax criminal cases.

Jes Meyer-Lohkamp has been a lecturer at the University of Hamburg for many years, is a member of the training committee at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (deputy chairman), author of the juris PraxisReport Strafrecht and member of the advisory board of the Zeitschrift für Wirtschaftsstrafrecht und Haftung im Unternehmen. Together with Prof. Dr. Karsten Gaede, he is responsible for the northern region of the Association for Commercial Criminal Law (WisteV) and organizes the annual autumn conference on commercial criminal law, which he founded in 2011 with Prof. Dr. Frank Saliger. Furthermore, he is also Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Criminal Law Working Group (DAV) and Executive Chairman of the Hamburg Bar Court.

In addition to spending time with his wife and three grown-up children, Jes Meyer-Lohkamp enjoys cycling (road and gravel) and playing the trumpet (classical and jazz).

Colleagues and clients alike describe Jes Meyer-Lohkamp as a brilliant storyteller, but he is also an attentive listener with a keen ear. He finds the daily “corridor chats” with his fellow EVEN colleagues as both meaningful and rewarding. Jes Meyer-Lohkamp is a solution finder with a big heart. He has been recommended for many years by Juve (“now Hamburg’s most sought-after defense lawyer“, 2023), Best Laywers (Handelsblatt) and other specialist publishers.
